Abstract:

Objective: Since the discovery and representation of Subjects contained in information resources is the most important goal in information description, Analysis and retrieval systems, and since Subject search is the most common type of user search in databases and library catalogs, in this study what is "Subject" and how to analyze and extract Subject matters in the process of determining Subject keywords for an information resource, as well as some research and operational perspectives are discussed. Methodology: This conceptual paper uses documentary research method to examine the concepts of "Subject" and "Subject Analysis", presented in a selection of related research works in the field of Information Science, as well as considering some corresponding concepts in the field of Computer Science and Natural Language Processing. Findings: Despite various interpretations of what "Subject" is, which some assume to be an axiom, and its definition unnecessary, there is consensus, explicitly or implicitly, on its meaning of "aboutness". Subject Analysis of information resources, as part of the indexing process, is the Analysis and identification of stated topics and concepts and/or obvious features of the information source that may involve manpower, computer algorithms designed to identify textual terms or the combination of the two is done. Each of these methods has its strengths and weaknesses. Search and retrieval problems due to the multiplicity of Subject Analysis tools and keyword assignment, low usage rate of standard descriptive schemas, inconsistencies between indexed terms assigned by a single indexer at different times, as well as between multiple indexers for the same information resource, human error in general, the inconsistency of users’,search terms with the assigned keywords, and the lack of on time description of resources due to the growing production of them are among the weaknesses of the human Subject Analysis approach. The application of automated methods of artificial intelligence and natural language processing offers promising prospects for increasing speed and consistency in various processes of describing and organizing information, including the extraction of Subject keywords. However, evaluating the efficiency of the output of these methods, alone or in comparison with the keywords of human production, specially from the perspective of users, is required. Conclusion: In the competition of machine algorithms with the human mind in the Analysis and recognition of resource Subjects, the human mind excels, whether it is an indexer who expresses in his own language what the source is about, or a designer who can design a machine that mimics the computational steps of his mind to saves time and resources. Libraries and information centers can, far from rushing to replace conventional processes and procedures, use the various methods and tools available from the Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning fields to design and develop automated systems for indexing and extracting or assigning Subject keywords-and in the larger perspective, automated classification-to use resources (financial, human, and time) for the ultimate goal of maximizing productivity, shortening the Subject access path to resources for users, and facilitating the description process.

Abstract:

Following the political and social developments in Iran in the mid-1370s, young artists created critical works in the new social and cultural demands. In such an area, the Subject of the works moved towards more realism, and social realist painting was re-formed in Iranian contemporary art. These paintings show that the human Subject has been indoctrinated with the opinion and rethinking of social beliefs and values, and by rejecting them, the Subject is removed and collapses. Therefore, the author aim to analyze the process of the collapse of the Subject in the realist paintings of Iran In the last two decade with benefit of the concept of “non-Subject” in the discursive semiotics approach. Research method is descriptive-analytical way and Analysis of the works by using the discursive semiotics of Paris school. Based on this, the relationship between the form of expression and the form of content in the formation of “social non-Subject” in Iran’s realistic paintings of the eighties and nineties, and the process of meaning production. Also, visual discourse in explaining social non-Subject in paintings, have been analyzed. The findings indicate that in these paintings, the artist weakens the actional discourse through the elimination of the reel presence of the Subject and visual semiotics strategies Such as norm-avoidance, Subject’s automaticity, unaware Subject, marginalized Subject and Subject’s threatened position. In this way the presence of discursive non-Subject is highlighted and the Subject has collapsed. Also, by introducing the Subject into the perceptual-sensory discourse and putting him under emotional Intensity through visual arrangements such as darkness, wrinkles, wounds, etc., the artist achieves the modality discourse of anxiety and worry, which explains non-Subject.

Abstract:

The concept of the Subject is rooted in modern-day thinking that has a political nature in the twentieth century; the Subject can be examined from at least three perspectives; in the modern sense, starting with Descartes, the Subject is a cognitive Subject independent of the metaphysical forces capable of thinking and acting. From the post-structuralist and postmodernist perspective, which is particularly embodied in Foucault's thought, the Subject is the invention of the modern age and has been declining with the end of modernism. In this sense, the Subject is dominated by the elements of power, and is formed entirely within the context of historical forces and discourses. In the third perspective, the Subject is a Subject that is formed within the context of historical forces and discourses but also capable of resisting and changing it. This paper studies the concept of Subject in different approaches to discourse Analysis by means of documentary method. The results show that the Subject and its identity have gone through many ups and downs, sometimes in awe of creative and affective activity and sometimes in the form of passive and confined creatures. From the perspective of discourse Analysis, especially Laclau's and Mouffe's discourse approaches, Subjects in certain situations are able to disintegrate one discourse and make the discourse hegemonic.

Abstract:

This article attempts to examine the cultural-social construction of the gender Subject and the impossibility of gender by theories Jacques Lacan and Judith Butler on the Transsexual Subject. The interplay of Lacan's orders (Imaginary, Symbolic, and Real) indicates how the Transsexual Subject forms through the gap between imaginary identity (Ego ideal) and symbolic identity (Ideal ego). Lacan argues sexual difference is beyond the sexual organs and is based on linguistic signifier as normative ideals, and Butler presents it as discourse structures that shape bodies and are expressed by performativity. The research is qualitative, data are collected through interviews and analyzed in terms of narrative research via theoretical concepts. The research field in Tehran, and research participants are seven Transsexual people who have been selected by the snowball method. Findings depict that the impossibility of realizing gender as signified represented through physical signifier by performativity. The Subject's attempt in the symbolic to align with the imaginary gender dealing with the real is an insurmountable gap. The focus of gender difference/identity on the axis’ the signifier/body in the symbolic causes the loss of gender that constructs and destroys the Subject by performativity as fantasy. Gender is linguistic and performative not immanent.

Abstract:

The existence of continuity and thematic relation between the verses of a surah is a characteristic of the Holy Qur'an. In this research, content Analysis method was used to explore the discovery of the Subject axis in Hajj Surah. To do this, at first, the Analysis of quantitative content, frequency of words, issues of verses and orientations was examined and according to the information obtained, most of the Hajj surah was related to the principles of religion with the highest emphasis on monotheism and divine authority In the second stage, considering quantitative Analysis, we analyzed the qualitative content and the extracted topics were categorized in the form of six categories of The enemies of religion, believers, divine provinces, void Gods, religious and Islamic commandments, and Resurrection is classified. Finally, contrary to the allegations made, Hajj surah has a general axis, in spite of many issues, that is mentioned in verse 62.: " That is because Allah is the Truth, and that what they call upon besides Him, that is the falsehood, and because Allah is the High, the Great. ". A comparison has been made between the believers whose leaders are God with the disbelievers whose leaders are the void Gods.

Abstract:

Exegesis has usually been performed by two main methods: Methodical or Systematic, and Topic or Subject. The former has been prevailing since the very early times as most commentators and interpreters have applied it to interperet the Qur’anic chapters. The latter is relatively in his infancy in relation to the former, and though it is found in the words of the Holy Prophet and those of the pure infallible Imams (PBUT), it was the common method of interpretation among most Muslim scholars during the past centuries.During the 14th century, regarding the political and social transformations of the human societies including the world of Islam, most exegesis scholars were interested in the Subject method more and more.Martyr Sadr is among those who consider the Subject method inevitable for the Muslim scholars in the modern and contemporary world. He has a different view in this context with other interpreters. He believes that the Subject method begins to form+ when a Muslim interpreter should begin with the real world before referring to the Holy Qur’an.The present paper is an attempt to study Martyr Sadr’s viewpoint in applying the Subject method in exegesis based upon the discourse and speech with the Glorious Qur’an. His interpretation, as he suggests, is based on the Comander -of- The Faithful, Imam Ali (a.s.), in Nahjulbalqa, Calling for Muslims to discourse and speak with the Qur’an, so that in that manner, they should interpret the Holy Qur’an to suit the requirements of each period of the human societies to meet the needs and wants of community while speaking to them.
